Sketchy Thursday and EBTKS take TWO

And here is my second take for the second chance challenge at Sketchy Thursdays HERE and the Everything but the kitchen sink HERE. The stamps are studio G dollar stamps, used some Bazzill Edgers, flat backed pearls, the same wrapping paper and pop dotted a few of the circles. Sweet and simple. I flipped the Sketchy Thursdays sketch to the side and took some creative liberties. What do you think?

Second Chance Challenge-Sketchy Thursdays- Take one

Here is my first take on the Sketchy Thursday Challenge found HERE and for the Kitchen Sink challenge found HERE. It also incorporates FIVE LAYERS for The Crafting Pot challenge HERE .The challenge was to use wrapping paper. I bought the brown and pink polka dotted paper at the DOLLAR TREE for some presents for December birthdays. I am a stickler that they get their birthday gifts wrapped in NON Christmas/Holiday wrapping. They love it! Anyways I whipped up this super simple card using wrapping paper, scraps, the EK success Swiss dots punch, a stamp in my collection (isn't she cute even though I messed up her face?) and some ink. The inside is a matted pink piece of card stock with the same stamp (new one dollar Studio G stamps the dream one). Thank you for looking. What do you think?

Practical Scrappers Snowman Soup

Good morning. I hope your Christmas was merry and bright and full of love and cheer. Ours was full of wonderful memories of little miss and Christmas this year. For my neighbors and our AWESOME Mail Carrier I whipped these cute little containers up. I made several sets but here are just two. EVERYTHING for them (minus the cuts and sweet treat cups) came from the Dollar Tree. Inside the bucket I put two things of hot cocoa mix, a baggie of marshmallows, some hershey mini chocolate bars and two candy canes (the stirring stick). The snowman is from Doodlecharms and cut at four inches and shadowed. His belly was punched with a 1 3/4 inch punch (THANK YOU DIANA!) and then filled with marshmallows and the sweet treat cup. I colored his arms, nose and added googly eyes and a piece of ribbon for a scarf. They were a hit! What do you think? Make sure to check out PRACTICAL SCRAPPERS all week for more inspiring and amazing WINTER projects from my fellow DT members! Happy New Year!

What are your scrapping/crafting resolutions for 2010?

Yes I know I am early. But I already have mine and am interested in yours! What are they?

1. USE all my carts AT least once on a layout or card throughout the year!
2. Get my Cmas cards for 2010 done before Halloween!
3. Get caught up to at least six months behind in Cs and family album.
4. Scrap about our first house, first cruise, this Christmas, and each of our family members (at least a page for each one)
5. Purge at least six times this year; donate, sell, or RAK it to someone that will need it.
6. With the exception of new carts, cuttlebug folders and adhesives do not buy something without a plan for it. Use it within a week or it goes backto the store!
7. Learn to sew on my layouts!
8. Have all Cmas gifts done before December 1st including Caitlyns third birthday party items.

What about you?!

Etched beer mugs

I used BlackLetter Solutions Cart to cut all the letters but designed them in CDS. I used scrap vinyl I had and etched these dollar mugs for a new friends hubby for Cmas. He will get them next week! What do you think?

12 days of Christmas-the rest! What I did for my partner

Day one

Day two

Day three

Day four

Day five

Day six
Day seven
Day 8
Day 9
Day 10
Day 11
Day 12

I also sent a box of extras for her as some of her days did not coincide with the numbers. There was so much more I wanted to do but ran out of time. I sure hope she liked it all (she said she did!) She opened early because she was flying to see her family and no use in taking up room in suitcases. I also sent each girl a little tote stuffed full of dollar goodies. Day three they each got a clipboard altered (I hope) to fit them and day four I sent each member a bookmark. I had a lot of fun altering and making for Pam. I took the challenge jar idea from one of my design team sisters THANKS!

A 2 year olds ornaments

Caitlyn and I "shawed shawed" (color/draw) on this ornaments that I found at Joann's last year on clearance for like 10 cents a piece. I was hoping to get more this year but that does not seem to be the case. I thought it would be cute to have her make one or two each year and have them on the tree. We just used Washable Crayola markers and she had fun! We started a second one but she was done, she is only two after all! If anyone sees ANY style of these at Joann's (they are .59 regularly) would you pick me up like 12? Thanks!

Name plaques

Finished these this morning. I am not sure how to hold the ribbon on, right now it is temporarily held on with scotch tape. Staples did not work, I am thinking Zip Dry Glue. Any other suggestions? I used simply sweet for everything on both and then various cuttlebug folders, inks, ribbons, staples, bling and more ink!

6X6 notebook (BIA)

I made this for day Six of the 12 days of Christmas swap. I used nestabilities Label one for on the front, some flat backed pearls and fuzzy alphabet stickers. Primas and more pearls and some ribbon on the side. I think it is super girly. The inside is blank so that she can carry it with her and write/sketch/doodle what she wishes. She loved it! What about you?
