Lots of love for Caitlyn

Caitlyn turned two on Sunday and we had a great party with a Mickey Mouse theme. I asked the Cricut Card Fairies (I am the commander) to send her some cards for her scrapbook and to celebrate her special day! Here they are! Aren't they completely wonderful creative and gifted? WOW!

Beer Stein

Have you been to Practical Scrappers lately? I KNOW we are all insanely busy with Christmas, the holidays, birthdays, events and life in general, but we all need to take a small break for ourselves, to save our sanity! So take a break and come visit us at Practical Scrappers. We would love to see what you can do with the theme "Anything Christmas". Hope to see you there.

This week our design challenge was to show off either homemade gift wrap or a gift we are making for Christmas. Hubby and I made these together and we still have about 10 to go! They were a buck at the local dollar tree and are HEAVY and STURDY! We used Base Camp and Calligraphy Collection for the design plus of course Cricut Design Studio. Pretty simple, these are for a couple that just got engaged and will be married in May. We did a set of four for them. You could customize these with their favorite athletic team, something about their hobby or job; only your imagination is your limit! Enjoy!

Butterfly clock

I made this clock using a 3.97 white clock from Walmart. I made it for our niece for her birthday today. She shares the birthday with our daughter but is TEN today! These are the fun and bright colors that are in her room. She loves it! I love how bright it is. The circles were cut at 6 3/4 and 6 1/4 inches from George and Basic Shapes, then the numbers and letters are from Learning curve at one inch and 1 1/2 inch plus respective shadows. The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch and run through the cuttlebug with swiss dots. The numbers and letters also have the swiss dot and ink treatment. The paper is from Michael's (pink) and Blossoms and Butterflies from DCWV. What do you think?

Tile Coasters

I made three sets of photo tile coasters for Christmas gifts this year. We have already exchanged these. I made a set for my MIL, Grandma in law with a picture of all four grand/great grand kids and some simple stamping. I made a set of I think 6 or 7 for my family to have, with a picture of each of us with little miss and a family picture of the three of us. The last picture is an example of the box that I put them in. The MIL and GMIL boxes are similar style but purple. They seemed to have loved them but I don't know, I hope so!

Caitlyns 2nd Birthday decorations

The banner you already saw, we also cut various sized mouse heads for the wall. Next is the two page layout the left side is for pictures and the right side is for the guests to write a note to Caitlyn to put in her book. Third are the goody bags that I made using Mickey Font. They are supposed to look like Plutos Doggy Bag. The last thing we made is the Pinata, it is a string/pull one not a bash one. Jonathan handmade the pinata and then used Cricut Design Studio to make the face big enough. I cut it out, Brianna (our niece) colored it all in for me. There you go! I will have pictures of the cakes later on today! We are getting ready to go to a Christmas party to see Santa!

Christmas Countdown Calendar

I submitted this for inspiration at Practical Scrappers. I did NOT do all this work, I altered the cookie sheet and did day 25 but that is it! This was two years ago, when I was expecting little miss, that is why I was blessed with day 25 the day before she was supposed to be here but ended up coming three weeks early! All the pieces are magnetic, the base is the inside of an old cookie sheet painted white and with paper adhered. I used the crop a dile to punch two holes in the top for string and it hangs on our wall! I love it and wish I had a better picture to share with you!

Practical Scrappers STICHING Challenge

Do you have lots of supplies you promised you were going to use and then did not? Do you feel overwhelmed with all the choices in your scrap space? Do you want to use your supplies but are at a loss of how? Then come on over to PRACTICAL SCRAPPERS and we will help you use what you have!

This week the challenge was to use STITCHING somewhere on your layout/project. Well since I cannot sew a button on to save my life I used STAMPS! WOOHOO! Can you tell all where I used them? Yep that is right, I used them to border the four pictures, and as the flight patterns on the butterflies. How would you use stitching? There are tons of ideas over at PRACTICAL SCRAPPERS hope to see you there!
