So this book is a Kraft journal from Michael's, on clearance, are you surprised? LOL! I tore off the cover and altered it to it my needs. I am using this one to explore into the world of art journaling. It is rather fun I must admit.
For the flower I took several (I think five) dryer sheets and randomly hand cut (GASP!) circles from them. Then inked them up, layered them, attached with a fabric brad, more ink and there you go! I like the layers, wish I would have done more but maybe next time.
Now it is time to go and see what MELISSA has for you!!!
Lovely - I don't use dryer sheets - but now I wish I did!
ReplyDeleteFun project - I don't even use dryer sheets for their intended purpose though. You have inspired me to try some altered projects. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this idea!! I was just looking at a used dryer sheet wondering what I could do with it! Your card is so soft and pretty!
ReplyDeleteNot entirely sure what drier sheets are, but I'm sure I don't use them! If I did, they'd be pressed into service for flower making I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteLovely project Crystal!
That is the best alt use of a dryer sheet ever!
ReplyDeleteI am another who doesn't use dryer sheets, but I think I'm inspired to try this method with fabric interfacing instead. I've got scraps of that galore. Pretty project!
ReplyDeleteI love the dryer sheet flower!
ReplyDeleteVery cool idea. I think I will have to try it.
ReplyDeleteI love the dryer sheet idea and I bet that card smells really good!
ReplyDeleteInteresting...amazing how crafters figure out how to make flowers from all sorts of different things. I like your take on the dryer sheet flower...looks great on your journal.
