Chocolate Fudge Chocolate Buttercream with Ganash!

Jonathan had a co worker who celebrated a birthday this past week. He told her he would bake her a cake, since she loves his cakes (like everyone else!). It is a chocolate fudge, with homemade chocolate butter cream icing with a homemade ganash(spelling?)! It smelled super yummy! I hope she liked it!

Practical Scrappers MARKERS

This week at Practical Scrappers our challenge was to use ANY type of Marker. I chose to use Zig markers in LOTS of different colors AND journaling markers/pens to match. I had this vision in my head but it did not work out as well. I sort of think the color "rays" look like peacock feathers LOL! I used LOTS of cuttlebug on this project also. The background pieces are cut and designed using George. COLOR is Don Juan I think and WORLD is Learning curve, welded in Design Studio and then I colored them with my markers. Up in the right corner I journaled with the same color pattern to match. It was supposed to look like a rainbow but that did not work, but I still like it. Quick Thank you card

Whipped this up super duper fast yesterday for one of hubby's coworkers. She was so kind to Caitlyn, bought her a sugar free marshmallow bunny for Easter. So we let Caitlyn draw her a picture too. I am sure she will love it as she has two grand kids a little older than Caitlyn.

Hey out there! I know it has been a while since I posted something crafty. I have lost all my mojo, and then I got caught up in planning the Easter stuff, reading Jodi Picoults book "Handle with Care" and other things. I love Jodi's books, makes me think but this one made me cry at the end!

Anyways, here is a simple no cricut layout. I used a tear ruler from my stash to make the "wave" journaling/title spots. Some various thickers for the title and there you go. Nothing fancy like I said I am sad since my mojo is gone. Thanks for looking!

My little stinker!

Today we held an Easter Egg hunt at our house for some of the Moms in my Moms group. Originally there were five of us but two got sick, so there were just three families, to include our own. We had a blast anyways. My hubby is a master of almost everything, grilling is one of those things. We made homemade pizzas and grilled them on the grill, SUPER yummy! The other moms brought fruit, pasta salad, eggs etc. We had a great time. I stuffed over 40 eggs for all the kiddos to find and each mom brought 10 more stuffed eggs. The kids found all of them, and played in the sand table and on the swing/slide set. It was easy, nothing fancy, fun time! Caitlyn even put all of the first eggs she found in the others girls little basket, trying to share! What a cutie!

For you- For the moms this weekend

Again I apologize for the lighting. I only get to craft at night these days. These are altered (simply) Starbucks Frap bottles. My wonderful friend Nancy on the cricut Messageboard has an addiction to these and was nice enough to send me a few to alter. Here are five for this weekend. Super simple and easy. I filled them with Easter Grass and Hershey Almond Kisses for the Moms this weekend.

On a side note, if you could spare a happy thought/prayer for me tomorrow I would appreciate it. I am going to to the doctor (nothing serious) but I hate doctors and this appointment will determine my Veterans Disability Rating (i.e. what care I will get for the rest of my life being a Vet). I am super anxious, have been all week, since it is in downtown Baltimore and I have to drive alone and never been there, and of course I hate going to the doctors. So just a happy though I would appreciate!

I used this sketch from the Laying It down challenge on the cricut.com board. I am also entering this into the Frosted Designs challenge this week for using a transparency (the arrows!) Simple. Lots of faux stitching and dotting. Thickers for the title, a journal spot that a friend sent me and a checklist from another collection.

Bubblegum machines for Easter

I made these quickly for the kids coming on Saturday. I used Cuttin Up (Serifs) at one inch to make the intials and then George at various sizes for the stars. I initially was going to use circles but the stars went on easier. I will be emptying and refilling them with jellybeans since all the kids are too young for gum! What do you think?

I am also entering this in the Cricuteers Anonymous WOMEN challenge for this week. I made them for to be women LOL!

We are having a few friends from my Mom group over a week from today for a brunch/egg hunt and this is what I made to go in the center of our picnic table. It is nothing fancy, just friends with kiddos under three so I wanted to keep it simple. What do you think? I think my Cricut is exhausted now, have not used her this much in ages! I used ACY, Alphalicious, WIMG, Doodlecharms and EDPD! The bucket and floral foam were the only things I purchased, so this came together for three bucks! WOOHOO! I used chopsticks we already had for the skews and wrapped them in dollar spot ribbon from my stash. I used flock on the bunny from EDPD, welded EASTER using Alphalicious. Eggs, boy, girl are from ACY and the basket is from Doodlecharms. I learned a lot on this project, I forgot to flip my images for the words so they are not even and it bothers me but I am done for the night LOL!

P.S. I know the lighting is off, it is night time and I scrap in a dungeon LOL!
