Layout 230

No challenge for this one. It will sit next to the layout 229 so I wanted them to have similar embellishments. I used the same two pattern papers, three different bazzill edges(white small scallop, red scallop, and white flowers), two different ribbons and staples (my new favorite)and of course some Thickers for the title. What do you think?

Layout 229-Practical Scrappers

Practical Scrappers
challenged us this week to use transparencies. I do not own a lot of them for the simple fact that I was clueless how to use them. For this layout I used a simple adhesive backed transparent tag with a quote. I backed it with red textured cardstock. I used a tag that I received from a journal tag swap on the cricut messageboard and of course thickers for the title. Not real creative but I love it anyways!

5 Things for the Craft Pot

I made this quick card for the challenge here: http://tcp5.blogspot.com/. I actually really like this one. The corners and the Beautiful are charcoal (as close to gray as I had sorry!) What do you think?

WSB and Sketchy Thursdays

So this is ALMOST done for WSB challenge 25. I forgot I had to use three pictures CRUD so I will try to redo or do another one by the 1st. I am submitting this for Sketchy Thursdays here: What do you think? I used Storybook at two inches for the YOU but that is all the cricut. I used a Crafters workshop doodling template for the dots and the journal lines. LOTS of distressing and inking. New stamps for the rest of the title (song title/lyric) required by WSB. Jonathan came up with the title I LOVE IT and I love Toby Keith so this goes well. Thanks for looking!

ScrapSketch 163

This is my design take on the above posted sketch. I did change it a bit by putting pink rickrack where you see the glue through the bottom of the page but forgot to take a picture. I love scrapsketch and am so happy that Stephanie allowed me to be a part of her design team. Click HERE to see the rest of the design teams work!!! Don't be afraid to join us!!!!

Old School Layout

The Crafting Pot challenged us to go old School HERE; no fancy gadget or gizmo's. I have to admit this was HARD for me since I never really "scrapped old school" before. Most of the things they were showing I had never seen LOL! I guess it is has to do with being a "new" scrapper (only a few years) and a younger scrapper. I don't know. Here is my take. I don't like it but it is done LOL. I drew and colored the corners with markers, then dotted for extra something something. Thickers for the title (sorry didn't have stickers), tore the journal lines and the red bottom. I did use a circle punch for the circles on the bottom and they are supposed to be random but I am not so good at that either LOL. So there you go I tried!

Another triple duty

This layout is for Creative Twist challenge (Lets get down and dirty) HERE; for Scrapbooks and Stuff (use a sketch and pink) HERE and for Practical Scrappers (I won the doodling template from them!) Lots of distressing, inking, and painting (with the template) on this one. I LIGHTLY used the sketch, I had too many pictures. I took over 100 pictures this afternoon since my "doesn't like to get her hands dirty daughter" was the first one in the mud pit and the last one to leave! I was amazed! She had so much fun! I used the negative shape (Storybook fit to page marquee one) for the left side and the positive on the right side. I did not do many embellishments but I wanted this to look dirty. What do you think?

Quadruple duty for the blog hop

This card is doing QUADRUPLE duty! It is based on the sketch from Peachy Keen Stamps blog HERE; uses a die cut (the plain and scalloped circles are cut using Nesties) from Practical Scrappers HERE; and an altered die cut (the ribbon slide is a cuttlebug die EMBOSSED with the Autumn Pumpkin embossing folder, stamped on and covered in glittery chalk) for Just Buggin HERE. It is also serving for SCRAPFIT Happy Fall card HERE WHEW! I think I like this, I wish the owl and hoot were clearer and in real life the flowers are flat but I am trying to get back into the card making business. Thanks for looking!
