Scrapbookpal.com Wall Decor Layout

When the awesome Scrapbook Pal contacted us this month and allowed us to choose the cart we wanted out of three I was so excited. I had been wanting Wall Decor but kept putting it off. Patience pays off! I am so blessed! To see any of the great projects that I used click on the link to go shopping at a great store with great customer service. I hope you enjoy the items that I made this month to show you how versatile this cartridge is. You can use it for WAY more than Wall Decor. Here is the layout that I did this month.

Recipe:
1. Using Wall Decor, your Cricut Expression and a 12X12 mat select Tree-s on page 73. Cut this at 7 inches AND 4 1/4 inches (for right side tree) on brown card stock.
2. Now using the Tree cut on page 73 cut the main image at 7 inches in patterned paper of your choice.
3. Your last cut will be the Tree BORDER at 3 3/4 inches. I cut this on white card stock and then inked each leaf up in Colorbox Berrylicious ink, Distress Ink in Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick and Vintage photos. Cut them apart individually to be randomly placed around your layout.
4. Using the GellyRoll Pen I outlined the swirls on the tree and the leaves to make them pop just a bit more.
5. Using the GellyRoll White Pen I also dotted up the main tree on the left side, faux stitched around my corrugated letter title and wrote my date on the right page.
6. Adhere 7 inch tree to the bottom far left of the left hand page.
7. Adhere title mounted on patterned paper above tree, allowing a little overlap.
8. Adhere vertical patterned paper on top right of left hand page.
9. Mat and place pictures as desired.
10. Place 4 inch by 12 inch patterned paper to bottom of right of right hand page.
11. Place 4 1/4 tree on left hand side of right page.
12. Mat and adhere pictures as desired.
13. Using the leaf border that you inked and cut and miscellaneous leaves from your stash randomly place them about your page to mimic falling leaves.
14. Add four small inked office tags to title, tree, and picture to include journaling.
15. Add final touch by using Crystal Glitter stickles on the small tree, gelly roll white pen for photo corners and dotting the title letters.

Other ingredients:
Corrugated Letters
Cork Letters from Joanns Essentials
K & Company patterned paper
Small white office tags
Felt, glitter and paper leaves from stash
Kraft, white, and red cardstock

Cousins

I hope this layout shows you how much B.B. and Caitlyn adore one another and are inseparable when they are together.B.B. is so good with Caitlyn, reads to her, plays and loves on her. Caitlyn just eats it up! I am so happy that although they are exactly 8 years apart they seem to have such a strong bond!

TSB Project-Party On (SECOND POST TODAY!)

Please scroll down for the other TSB project I have posted (Have fun)

Super simple and some mistakes but not everything can be perfect huh? Everything except the blue piece was from my scrap bin. The blue piece is recycled packaging from a journal set I had laying around. I hope you like it.

TSB Project-Have Fun

Good morning. I originally selected this image(from The Stamping Boutique) to use for some of the pictures from our trip to Florida this past summer but alas I am not there yet, I am in a total Christmas themed scrapping set so summer will have to wait. So I colored this in, added some glitter and white dot pen. I used the sketch from CPS this week. I hope you like it.

Four Layouts to share

If you are here for the SCRAPBOOKPAL.COM blog hop CLICK HERE!!

I had a productive weekend in the scrap space. I was able to get FOUR layouts done, clean, purge and organize the closet, and my armoire . I want to work on purging my chipboard stash but I will tackle that another day. I also was able to pull out all the things I bought to make for THIS Christmas LAST Christmas (ON super clearance of course). I even got a Christmas mini comp book started with each person having a page, and what we already have, what I will make and what I need to get. I am about 75% done with the buying so that is awesome. Anyways here are the four layouts that I did. I used SKETCHES IN THYME(challenge 11 for the "love" one) and MLSB sketches as my jumping point for all four, but none look like the sketches LOL! Hope you like them!

P.S. I know the lighting is bad but it is so humid outside that the lens of my camera kept fogging up and transferring to the photos so I took these inside.

Today is the beginning of the FIRST EVER Scrapbookpal.com design team blog hop! Woohoo! You are part of history! Aren't you excited? I am! I love designing for them and LOVE LOVE LOVE their fair competitive prices, variety of product, awesome customer service and lighning fast shipping! Yay Scrapbookpal.com! Oh and all that AND they are giving away a YOU PICK ONE CRICUT CARTRIDGE (from in stock cartridges) if you win on this hop.

So if you just popped in here, go on back to the beginning HERE and follow along. If you are visiting me from my awesome DT sister Rowena you are in the right place!

Today for you I made some quick and easy. I used my awesome Wall Decor and More Cricut Cartridge from Scrapbookpal.com; white and pink vinyl, chesnut roan ink, Zig pens, rhinestones and Gelly Roll white pen. I also used my Cricut Expression and 12X12 mat.

Here is what I did:
1. Using the Cricut Expression, Wall Decor and my 12X12 mat I selected the leaf phrase on page 40 for my main design in white vinyl. I cut this expression at 1.5 inches.
2. Remove cut from mat and adhere to planner, adorn with rhinestones and add faux stitching with Zig pen.
3. Using pink vinyl, cricut expression, wall decor and 12X12 mat I selected the compass font on shift for the swirl. It was also cut at 1.5 inches. I then altered it to fit onto my planner by cutting and adhering to where I liked it.
4. Add white dots with Gelly roll pen.
5. Using same items I selected and cut my initials using the FONT key at .5 inches. I inked the edges in chesnut roan ink.
6. Freehand cut the pink banner; add white dots for depth, rhinestones and inked initials.

Easy peasy, you just altered your planner that you can carry with you all the time. You can change this up as you want since we did it in vinyl! YAY!

Now please go take a look at my other awesome DT sister AMY! I am sure she will WOW you as she always does.

Angel card for my Mom

My mother always has such nice people blessing her at her work. It makes it almost worthwhile she says. Well one particular customer is super sweet and really touched my Moms heart during her recent time of grief so Mom asked me to make "an angel card". Ok. I struggled but this is what I came up with. It glitters so much as I outlined the angel stamp in glitter pen, coloring it did not look right. I hope you like it as it is not my normal style.

Dont forget that the SCRAPBOOKPAL Blog hop starts tomorrow! There is a YOU PICK ONE CRICUT CARTRIDGE to be won! (I may also have a little something something!)

Very quick and simple collage of photos from our "Christmas". We do Christmas the first weekend of December since almost everyone is together. Now usually we are not allowed to open the gifts until Christmas but with everyone flying they had to open them now LOL!

Snow Birds

Can you tell what month I am scrapping? LOL! I Love it, it is a busy month for us with five or more birthdays, an anniversary and Christmas but I would not have it any other way. This was the first snow we received the first weekend in December when all the family was here to celebrate C and B birthday. They loved it!

This is my beautiful niece. She shares the same birthday with C but eight years apart. She is a "little mama" in all the sense of the word. Of course being the rocking Aunt and Uncle we are we made her a day too AND she got to see snow YAY! (she lives in Florida!) She was so excited. She does SO WELL with C and C LOVES HER B.B. We love her too and are so proud of the young lady she is becoming.
