Good morning. First let me put my disclaimer here. I have had these pictures since my tour was over in 2006 and I STILL have a mental block apparently on scrapping them. I WANT to scrap them but when I sit down with any of the pictures from then I literally get anxious and freeze up STILL! Silly I know. So I started (tried) with these photos. I do NOT like this page BUT they are done so that is what matters. I did figure out that I am still not ready to do these, but one day. Please tell me it is OK to NOT do them right now!

Not silly at all Crystal! It will all happen naturally when the time is right. I think that the page looks great! I know that I've thanked you for your service to our country before, but let me say it again...thank you!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your beautiful page. I think it is perfect! Not all pages come naturally or are easy! I am so thankful for people like you who have served or are still serving! What an honor it is to see your pictures... But you will know when you are ready to scrap them or not! Anytime it is a chore or we put it off it isnt worth it. I have moments like this myself... Dealing with things from the past. Take time.... Do what ones you want! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteFirst, I want to say, "Thank You" for serving! I have a special place in my heart for you!
ReplyDeleteI love that you are trying to get that time in your life down on paper for generations to come.
You did a great job on this one....hey, welcome to Frosted Designs!
Blessings,
Kim xXx
you've not seen me in so long because my laptop has been out! Now it is BACK!!!!!
Crystal... I am so proud of you for serving our country... THANK YOU!!! My nephew is in the army and will be deployed in the next 6 months. I understand what a sacrifice it is for every person who puts their life on the line for our freedom. It's okay that you haven't scrapped them.... it all takes time. And if they never get scrapped, that is okay too!! I think you did a fabulous job with this one!!

Well, good for you, Crystal! It's a start, getting them on the paper. I love the first home one too. I cried when we left the first one we bought in virginia beach. Especially when I painted over the doorframe we had all the boys growth marked on. (never occurred to me to take the door frame off and put on a new one, grr). I'm glad you made this first step, it's baby steps from one to the next.
ReplyDeleteIt's completely ok for you not to scrap these photos! Someday you will be able to do it, you don't have to do it right now though! This page is great! I have some photos of a cousin who passed away (8 years ago) and I still can't look at them without crying - not time yet!
