Stretching it out for a challenge-CKCB style

So today the challenge at CKCB is to incorporate rainbows into your creation. Well since my kit was pretty limited in colors I had to stretch it out a bit. I sure hope this still counts! LOL! Here is how I thought rainbow. When I think rainbow I think COLORFUL, full of colors and fun. So I decided to scrap a picture of little misses brand new toy/play area when we moved in. The play area is definitely reminiscent of a rainbow with all the bright colors. Then I decided to add the word "COLORFUL" to the title to tie it all in. I was going to make the title a rainbow but it clashed WAY too much to the limited colors. So there is my challenge, does it work for you? LOL!

Another favorite gift

I love doing this too. Simple, easy and personalized just my style. This tin was altered to hold tags but you could have it hold anything and I have even made it into a stationary kit. I hope the gift recipient loved it.

"Love" Paperclip/photo holder

I love making these too. You can use them to hold pictures; sketches, or other lists/memorabilia. I made this one for a girl whose room is black/red damask. I also learned something with this project, I learned that I can emboss THICKERS in my big shot! YAY!

Project Life Week EIGHT and NINE

For these two weeks I did not take a lot of pictures so I decided to combine them into one double page spread. We did a LOT but without pictures I was not sure how to stretch it further. It works!

CKCB Challenge ONE: FOUR

This time around at CKCB the challenge is to use the number "Four" somehow/someway in your layout. I chose to use use four pictures and the number 4 in the title. I also used my Cameo for all the hearts and the journal tag/label on the bottom.

Momenta-Second Layout

So you all already know our big news. I am so excited so of course I whipped up a layout all about it. I used Sketch Support Sketch 26 (two page), but of course modified it. Except for the kraft, white and ledger scraps all the product is Momenta from the Pastels Die cut Paper Pad and the 12X12 premium pad themed baby. I also used the DYO stickers in the Dylan and Jack themes. Some faux stitching, punched popped up stars and I was done. Easy peasy!

Dry Erase frame

So this is one of the things I love to make for gifts these days. They are super quick, cheap, and easy to customize. It is a 4X6 black picture frame with the glass, then add several mats, emboss some white card stock, add stickers, ribbon and some embellishment to the outside, Voila! a personalized gift. I forgot to add the dry erase marker on this one so I will have to send that later on. I wrap paper around the pens to match colors I used. I get lots of use from mine so I hope she does the same.

Counterfeit Kit Blog Hop MARCH

Good morning! I hope this March is going well for you. How was your leap year? Well hubby is home, he was gone for two whole weeks to Australia! Things were rough but he is home and we are settling into our routine again.

Today I am here to share the small (for me) kit I put together this month for March. You should have reached me from our awesome Guest Designer this month Mary Buttons. This month we are counterfeiting the Birds of a Feather March 2012 kit. The main colors are blue/yellow and it was rather small so I tried to stick to that premise. So without further chattering from me here is my kit, Cloudy Sunshine.

Above is the full kit, 8 papers (one has two so really nine), letter stickers, label stickers, sheer ribbon, twine, pearls, pearl flourishes, some white flowers a few chipboard clouds and a few fabric swatches to make some embellishments later on.

Above you will find a closeup of my papers. ALL the papers except the white corrugated sheet on the left are from Heidi Grace Designs Daydream, at Joanns'. They are all the B sides of the papers and I have noticed that is a trend with me lately.
Last but not least a closer picture of the embellishments. I tried to stay pretty true to the original embellishements in the kit. I add lots of letter stickers, some twine, sheer ribbon, flat backed pearls, clouds, flowers and some fabric swatches. I hope to use my new Cameo LOTS this month. We will see, my crafting has slacked off a TON as I am tired all the time now.

Now that you are all done with me, hop along to the very talented and lovely GLINDA. I hope you enjoy the hop, can't wait to see what you choose!
